Shockers 2012 4^th of July Mickey Merriam Invitational Tournament
Dates June 29  - July 4^th 2012 5 game guarantee.
 
All pro scouts and college coaches in the area have been invited
 

2011 had 20 Scouts and 18 Coaches in attendance

v     Format 12 teams Pool Play Four Divisions, 12 teams will move on to the double elimination after the pool play. Best record, head to head will determine the seeding, runs given up, runs scored and then by a coin flip. 

 

v     Tournament Fee is $800.00 (field Fees have gone up), $400 is due with registration one dozen baseballs will be provided for each team in the tournament. There are no refunds if you decide to withdraw.
 
v     Awards First 1^st and 2^nd place trophy.
 
v      Lower Woodland Park North Seattle, Whitman Middle School, Magnuson Park 
 
v     Tournament Rules
v     Wood Bat
v     AABC Connie Mack, which is big book with slide and avoid arms length. Catcher must have the ball to block the plate. All games are 7 innings with speed up rules in effect. Mandatory running for pitcher or catcher with two outs or any time before 2 outs. 8 runs after 5 innings. No re-entry Players and Coaches ejected from a game only have to sit out that game. Any player that swears at an umpire will be ejected from the tournament.
v     Home teams are determined by coin flip between the coaches.
v     Games that are 2 hours 25 Min may be extended for 30 Min at all fields but Lower Woodland which has a 2 hour 30 min drop dead.   If a game is tied it will stay tied and the seeding will be determined by alternative methods.
v     Elimination Games have no time limit
v     No infield/outfield prior to game
v     Tournament standings will be determined by the following order:
v     Win/Loss Record
v     Head to Head Play
v     Runs Allowed
v      Runs Scored
v     Coin Toss
